Never Meet Your Heroes...

Jeremy Jones has only ever wanted one thing in life: to follow in his older brother’s footsteps and attend Valor Academy, the top university for heroes. As a child, Jeremy was saved from a rare heart condition using an experimental procedure, resulting in the voltage of his pulse gaining superspeed. Adopting the moniker Pulse, he applies to Valor, but when his brother denies him entry, a scorned Jeremy turns rogue to prove himself a hero. It isn’t long before he finds trouble…

Or rather, trouble finds him. A group of notorious supervillains are looking to create a university to rival Valor. They’re failures too, and Jeremy might just be the key to their plan’s success

A Nordic Neverland Awaits

Erin Harper thought she was hallucinating when a glowing wolf landed on the wing of her airplane. After all, it was her first time flying and braving her fear of heights, so perhaps it was just the altitude? But when the wolf only she can see follows her to her family’s Alaskan cabin, the magic of the Northern Lights takes over the night sky, bringing along with it a mysterious flying boy and his Valkyrie. The boy, who calls himself Peter, speaks of Vikings, gods, magic, and a Realm hidden away in the stars. Erin is welcome to visit… if she dares.

A Realm of Stardust is a YA fantasy Peter Pan retelling rife with Norse mythology and set in a Neverland based on Iceland, called Villheim

“Oh, flying is the easy part,” Peter said, and a devilish grin sprouted on his freckled face. “It’s really the dragon you should worry about.”

When Both Contend, Who Is The Mightier?

Ophelia was a child when she decided to save the life of a human prince instead of drowning him like she was supposed to. Obsessed with the surface ever since, Ophelia hides out in a shipwreck, talking to the skulls of long-dead humans for company.

Years later, when she is approached by a witch with a deal to visit the prince’s castle, Ophelia can’t help but accept. However, she quickly finds herself out of her depth. Between assassination attempts, castle politics, and nefarious ghosts, surface life is nothing like under the sea… and it may just drive her mad

Mad as the Sea & Wind is an Adult fantasy mash-up of Hamlet and The Little Mermaid, set in 16th-century Kronborg Castle (Helsingør, Denmark)

“You’re insane, aren’t you?” the Queen hissed at her, and Ophelia stumbled back,  falling flat from her shaky legs. “You’re mad as the sea, he’s mad as the wind, and at this rate, together you’ll drag everyone down to the depths along with you.”

Abracadabra

Kerry Wixley has a secret. Well, she has a lot of secrets — she’s a sorceress, she’s a dancer, she does magic shows. To her, it’s all about exploring what it means to be a woman in 1920’s London, but to her father, she is shirking her duties in a line of sorcerers descended from Queen Boudicca herself. Kerry thinks her father and brother are overreacting, and that magic shouldn’t be kept secret…

But be careful what you wish for. When Kerry’s magic is discovered by a nefarious businessman and he binds her magic to his will, everything changes. Now Kerry finds herself as an assassin sent to defeat and capture her own kin, with her entire magical community on the line

Spellbound is an Adult fantasy story set in 1920’s London with ancient Celtic magic running through the veins of the descendants of Boudicca, a queen of the ancient British Celts

Through The Looking Glass

Cassandra (Cassie) Drewitt was 21 when she received her glass eye, following a severe car crash that left her father in a vegetative state. Half a year later, Cassie has recovered, but as she adjusts to her glass eye, strange things keep happening…

Sometimes, Cassie can see out of her glass eye. Sometimes, she swears she can see the reflections in her mirror move. Often, she feels like her reflection is watching her — and she is right. When Cassie’s evil reflection crosses through her mirror and traps Cassie inside of it, Cassie quickly finds herself in a flip of her world, inhabited by reflections made of photons. Can Cassie find a way to cross the mirror and return home? Or will she be trapped in the mirror dimension forever?

Beyond A Glass, Darkly is an Adult fantasy story about the world beyond our mirrors and what a flipped world with physics like that may entail. Reflections are slaves to their physical counterparts, and they’re not happy about it

“Everyone has to wrestle with their own reflection in the mirror now and then. I suppose you’re just doing that a little more literally.”
